Cathay Community Association successfully wrapped up a fun-filled and memorable 2-day trip to Byron Bay on 17–18 May 2025! With perfect weather, great company, and plenty of laughter, our participants enjoyed a well-planned itinerary full of scenic spots, delicious food, and meaningful cultural experiences.
Day 1 began with a visit to the peaceful O’Reilly’s/ Mountview Farm, featuring a 30-minute alpaca feeding experience. Walking your own alpaca through the lush greenery was a truly unique and valuable highlight! The group then visited The Farm Byron Bay, followed by a charming ride on the iconic solar-powered Byron Bay train. The day ended with a breathtaking sunset at Byron Bay and a delicious Japanese dinner at Tokyo Station.
Day 2 kicked off with a hearty BBQ buffet breakfast at our accommodation. The group then explored Carrara Markets for some fun bargain hunting, visited the Abalone Factory for an insightful tour, and enjoyed a sweet final stop at Yatala Pies before heading home.
